I find myself in a predicament.

While Atobe made a valid point that professional athletes must look the part - I just realised that I have absolutely no idea how to model anything. Actually, I have no knowledge of fashion in the slightest.

This may be a problem.

Does anyone have any data that may be useful on this subject?

I don't think you need to educate yourself on the whole of fashion to "look the part". Just a little soul searching and self-research to find a comfortable and presentable personal style.

I agreed after considering my options, yes. His point about sponsors not backing skill alone was logically sound. I have less to offer than other athletes, I believe if I use this opportunity to learn how to fix myself, then perhaps I will have a better chance at success.

It's true that you have a good learning opportunity before you. However, you should think of this as improving your presentation rather than fixing yourself. I daresay the terms are quite different.

Aren't the two things the same thing but with different words? What is the difference? I have been attempting to fix myself for years. There are things I lack and things I must change. Is that not attempting to fix something?

I believe Atobe is just going to handle everything. I was mostly worried about making him look bad by not knowing what to do once in his clothing.

I am... honestly not sure. I always remember knowing how to do math. It was something that never had to be explained, merely something I understood. It was the basis for my entire understanding of the world. It still is. Hence why things that can't be quantified are lost on me.

This is the second time I have been told to be more positive. I didn't realise that I was being inherently negative. I merely thought I was accurately and realistically assessing my worth. Is this something I shouldn't do, Oshitari?

I think we're departing from what I was trying to get at, which was that all learning has to start somewhere.

A person's inherent worth isn't a thing that can be quantified. One's contributions, perhaps. But yes, from the sampling I've had thus far, your outlook seems quite negative. You might get different information on yourself by looking from a different perspective.
